It’s been a strong first half of the year for the CPaaS Acceleration Alliance—and we’re proud to share the results of that work. This Summer, we published not one but two public white papers, each reflecting real-world insights from our members, partners, and ecosystem leaders.
The first focused on Network APIs in Action—a summary of what’s working in production today across industries like finance, logistics, safety, and live events. The second, released just last month, introduces our Intelligent Engagement framework, a new lens on how CPaaS, APIs, and AI are converging into smarter, more outcome-driven business communication.
These aren’t isolated projects. They’re both built on a broader foundation: the CPaaSAA Service Provider Playbook, and more specifically, our evolving Case Directory—a living library of real deployments, patterns, and use cases.
A closer look: Network APIs in Action
The first paper zeroes in on practical, tested Network API deployments—from SIM Swap detection to location-based safety alerts and QoD for telemedicine. These examples, contributed by members like Vonage, Infobip, Radisys, and Nabstract.io, show Network APIs moving beyond experimentation and into production—with measurable results.
And the industry took notice. The report quickly became one of our most downloaded pieces this year, showing how much appetite there is for concrete, field-tested examples—not just theory.
Intelligent Engagement: The bigger picture
The second paper zooms out. It introduces Intelligent Engagement as the next evolution of CPaaS—one that combines APIs, real-time data, AI, and trust to power dynamic, personalized, and outcome-focused customer experiences.
Intelligent Engagement is a significant mindset transition for the industry, focusing on what Enterprises want today – valuable advantages in how they operate, rather than technical capabilities and features. It’s the opening to a much bigger market opportunity too, as AI and other tech such as network APIs, enable totally new approaches and solutions.
It’s not just a concept. It’s grounded in real feedback from CPaaSAA members, enterprise buyers, and ecosystem partners. And it’s already influencing product strategy, GTM, and partner engagement across our network.
Launching at CASA25: The New CPaaSAA Case Directory
These two white papers draw heavily from the CPaaSAA Case Directory—a curated collection of real-world deployments contributed by members and partners.
We’re excited to announce that the new CPaaSAA Case Directory, which builds upon the 2024 Service Provider Playbook, will be officially launched at CASA25 next week in Amsterdam.
And we’re not building it alone. We’re working in close collaboration with the GSMA Open Gateway initiative to collect as many Network API use cases as possible—together. This shared effort is designed to accelerate industry-wide visibility, learning, and innovation.
The Case Directory will launch with 120+ use cases already included, spanning CPaaS, Network APIs, AI, vCons, customer engagement, security, orchestration, and more. And this is just the beginning—we’re focused on growing it fast, powered by a smarter, AI-powered intake process that makes it easier than ever to submit and share new cases across the ecosystem.
It’s designed to help our members benchmark, find partners, identify opportunities, and tell stronger stories. The new platform will be a cornerstone resource for our members and partners heading into 2026.
Looking ahead: CASA25 in Amsterdam
From September 22–24, the CPaaSAA community will gather in Amsterdam for CASA25—our flagship event that brings everything together: real use cases, frameworks, research, and strategy.
Intelligent Engagement is the core narrative theme of the event, tying together Network APIs, AI innovation, security, and go-to-market execution. We’ll be hosting interactive sessions, live showcases, private roundtables, and the official unveiling of the new Case Directory platform.
And perhaps most importantly—we’ll also be publishing the 2025 edition of the State of CPaaS. This report outlines the key actions needed to accelerate the market to its maximum potential, including how to leverage Intelligent Engagement, AI, Network APIs, and all the other opportunities in this fast evolving space.
This is where the conversation moves from theory to action—and we couldn’t be more excited to be in the room with the builders, buyers, and partners shaping the future of business communications.
