What’s new in (your) CPaaS?

To make sure your company’s successes are considered in our research, blogs and publications, please contribute your real-life examples to our Case Directory. Here’s why you should, and how you can do that.

A key goal for CPaaSAA is to promote the best new examples of CPaaS and Intelligent Engagement applications across the industry.

To that end, we collect and promote the best new case studies (i.e. real-life examples of applications succeeding with customers) in our research, blogs and commentaries, both to learn from and promote the best in class.

The following is a brief overview of what we are doing to support that, and how you can ensure your company’s successes are considered in that process.

Make a good case for your company

At the end of 2025, we quietly launched our new CPaaS Case Directory, which currently contains about 130 case studies that we’ve collected across the market.

You can find the Case Directory here.

The screenshot on the left below shows what’s publicly visible. These are basic outlines of each case.

Logged in members get to see more details on the benefits and results customers enjoyed (see example on the right, above).

Our goal is to keep building this resource as a growing, searchable asset for all members, showcasing what’s new and helping us gauge where the market is going.

Feature in CPaaSAA’s research

We use the case studies extensively in our research to illustrate market opportunities. For example, our research on The State of CPaaS 2025 drew on over 40 of the cases as references (see below, for an example supporting WhatsApp’s benefits).

As the volume of cases grows, it becomes increasingly useful as a point of reference to show what kind of customers use different applications and what types of benefits arise to what extent.

Why bother #1 – “we have our own cases, thanks!”

Sure you do, and that’s great for your site and customers, when they look. But who else promotes them, and how are we and other ecosystem players supposed to know?

Plus, from an industry point of view, collecting evidence from cross-market use cases is much more persuasive. If we can say we typically found “XYZ benefits across all suppliers”, it can make enterprise clients’ business cases more objective and compelling. It may even show your case studies in a better than average light.

Why bother #2 – why not just “ChatGPT it”?

Public GenAI and search tools are useful for fast answers – and you don’t mind an answer with possibly questionable back up.

However, for our research, integrity matters.

We’ve found that the process of reviewing and checking the cases, applying our own processes to categorising them, and genuinely thinking about what we are seeing, makes a difference to the level and quality of our understanding and insights.

As a very minimum, it provides a baseline to support “this is why we think this and the data we used”.

It can also always be updated, and the changes tracked, so there can be provenance when and where needed.

What’s next?

We’d like to do two things.

We will be using the data in our future blogs and research, including:
