How CPaaSAA collects, uses and protects personal data, and the rights you have under GDPR.
1. Who we are
This privacy statement applies to the processing of personal data by CPaaS Acceleration Alliance B.V. (“CPaaSAA”, “we”, “us”), a private company with limited liability registered under Dutch law, located in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
CPaaSAA is a global industry alliance focused on accelerating the growth of the communications platform ecosystem. Our services include community membership, events, webinars, research, working groups, and newsletters.
2. What personal data we collect
We may collect and process the following categories of personal data:
- Contact Information: Name, email address, phone number, job title, company.
- Professional Data: Company size, industry, role, preferences.
- Membership & Participation Data: Membership tier, event attendance, webinar participation, working group involvement.
- Content & Communication Data: Feedback, surveys, social media handles, newsletter engagement.
- Technical Data: IP address, browser type, login timestamps (when accessing members-only platforms).
3. How we collect personal data
We collect your data in the following ways:
- Directly from you (e.g., during sign-up, email communication, event registration)
- Via your company (if you are part of a member organization)
- Through website and platform interactions
- From publicly available sources (e.g. LinkedIn, industry directories)

We process your data for the following purposes, under the GDPR legal bases:

We ensure all vendors adhere to GDPR obligations via data processing agreements.
6. International transfers
Your data may be processed outside the European Economic Area (EEA). In such cases, we ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place in accordance with GDPR.
7. Data retention
We keep personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined above or comply with legal obligations. For example:
- Membership data: Retained during the term of the membership + 2 years
- Event participation: Retained for up to 3 years
- Newsletters and engagement logs: Retained for 18 months

9. Cookies & tracking
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies on cpaasaa.com. Strictly necessary ones make the site work and are always on. Everything else only runs after you accept it in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time.

Our member community runs on Circle (community.cpaasaa.com), which uses its own cookies to keep you signed in.
