Last month, at CASA25 in Amsterdam, more than 120 members and industry leaders gathered to explore the next era of communications — where AI, APIs, and real-world outcomes converge. Among the standout participants was Crexendo, the company behind the Netsapiens platform, who brought a powerful message to the stage: innovation happens when builders are empowered to create freely.
Next week, that message comes to life once again at Crexendo UGM & CodeFest 2025, and we’re proud to continue our partnership there. Because at CPaaSAA, we’ve always believed that the most meaningful progress starts with builders — the developers, product thinkers, and partners who translate vision into impact.
A Platform Built for Builders
Over the past decade, Netsapiens (by Crexendo) has evolved into one of the most flexible and partner-friendly platforms in the industry. It’s built for those who don’t just use APIs — they build with them. With a modular architecture, open integrations, and a partner-first philosophy, Netsapiens has enabled hundreds of service providers to launch, scale, and differentiate their offerings across unified communications, contact center, and CPaaS.
Today, the platform serves millions of users globally — but what really stands out is its community-driven DNA. Rather than locking partners into a rigid model, Crexendo gives them the tools, autonomy, and ecosystem to innovate on their own terms. That’s what CodeFest celebrates: a space where that innovation becomes tangible.
CodeFest: Where Innovation Meets Implementation
CodeFest has become a defining event in the Crexendo ecosystem — an annual gathering of developers, engineers, and innovators who come together to push boundaries. It’s not about theory; it’s about building. Over two days, participants prototype new capabilities, test integrations, and experiment with the latest technologies shaping modern communications — from AI-driven automation to contextual conversation intelligence.
For us at CPaaSAA, CodeFest embodies the “builder-first” mindset that fuels our community. It’s the same spirit we see in our Working Groups, the Case Directory, and our CASA Summits — all designed to help members move from experimentation to execution. Supporting CodeFest again this year is a continuation of that shared mission.
From CASA25 to CodeFest: A Shared Vision
At CASA25, Crexendo joined us on stage as both sponsor and thought leader, contributing to discussions that connected AI, real-time engagement, and the next phase of the CPaaS industry. One of the most exciting outcomes from CASA25 was the growing collaboration around vCons — the open standard for virtual conversations.
vCons aims to make communications data portable and interoperable, enabling insights and automation across platforms without sacrificing privacy or control. For a company like Crexendo — with deep experience in voice, data, and interoperability — this is a natural area of contribution. Together with other CPaaSAA members, they’re helping ensure that innovation in our industry remains open, transparent, and driven by real outcomes.
Supporting Builders. Focusing on Outcomes.
From day one, CPaaSAA’s role has been to connect the innovators transforming engagement — not just to talk about technology, but to demonstrate its impact. Whether it’s through venture-building initiatives, member working groups, or shared research, we continue to focus on the intersection of builders and business value.
Our ongoing collaboration with Crexendo and Netsapiens is a perfect reflection of that philosophy. Both organizations share our belief that success in CPaaS and AI-driven engagement comes not from chasing trends, but from enabling creators to solve real problems.
Looking Ahead
As we move from CASA25 into the final quarter of 2025, the story continues — from the conversations in Amsterdam to the code being written next week at CodeFest. The tools are stronger, the community is growing, and the opportunities for collaboration have never been greater.
We’re excited to see what this year’s CodeFest participants will create, how those ideas will evolve, and where they’ll take the industry next. Because ultimately, it’s not about APIs or platforms in isolation — it’s about what people build with them.
And that’s where the future of communications is being written — one prototype, one partnership, and one outcome at a time.
