Two and a half years in, and it’s wild to think how far we’ve come.
When we launched the CPaaS Acceleration Alliance, the goal wasn’t to be the biggest, loudest name out there. It was to create real momentum—for our members, and for the industry. A space where strategy, innovation, and go-to-market meet. And we work on the partnerships and strategies to propel the CPaaS industry to that 100B revenue target by 2030.
Now, with almost 110 members on board, we’re more energized than ever.
And 2025 is the year we double down on impact.
This isn’t about doing more for the sake of more. It’s about delivering deeper value, better conversations, and scalable results. For our members, by our members.
Here’s what that looks like.
Q1 – Conversations That Matter (and Showing Up Where It Counts)
We kicked off the year strong with a major expansion of CPaaSAA Talks—our 1:1 conversations with members.
We went from a couple per month to two every week. Why? Because these talks are where the signal lives. Real insights, real challenges, real progress.
We also welcomed Andrew Collinson as our research lead, and expanded our content and marketing team with Ashley Mbuthia and Faith Konye. Together, they’ve helped sharpen our messaging, clean up our content engine, and get us ready for what’s next.
And we showed up.
At MWC Barcelona, we participated in the GSMA Open Gateway Zone and DevCon Summit, helping shine a light on the potential of programmable communications across the telco world.
Then in March, we brought together members and innovators for the CPaaS Innovation Village at Enterprise Connect—the last one in Orlando (shoutout to the gators!). Next year, we head to Las Vegas.
Q2 – Focus, The Inner Circle and Playbook
This quarter, it’s all about sharper focus and deeper conversations.
We’ve launched The Inner Circle—a monthly, members-only webinar series hosted by our advisory and research partners. Think private briefings, not public webinars. No fluff—just real insights and open conversations that help our members move faster and smarter.
We’re also investing more in the Service Provider Playbook—expanding it with more analytics, more white papers, and more real-world use cases from our members. The Playbook will become broader in scope, more data-rich, and more widely available—giving the whole ecosystem a better foundation for decision-making, innovation, and growth.
Q3 – CASA25 Gets Intimate
In September, we return to Amsterdam for CASA25, and this year it’s all about depth over noise.
We’re moving to a new venue: the Tobacco Theater. Smaller, more focused, more energy. A pressure cooker, not a parade.
Shorter sessions – More workshops – Fewer slides – Real use cases.
Tangible business outcomes.
We’re mixing the familiar themes—AI, network APIs, GTM, CX—with a fresh, cross-cutting lens. Less siloed. More strategic.
And there’s more:
- We’ll be publishing our annual State of CPaaS report, giving a clear and credible snapshot of where the market stands and where it’s headed.
- And CAVE returns: our visionary dinner for top-tier members, hosted again in Amsterdam during CASA week. Expect bold thinking, intimate conversation, and a few surprises.
Q4 – What Comes Next
While CASA25 gets us together, what we’re preparing for Q4 goes a level deeper.
We’re working closely with members and partners on something big—a bold new initiative to help the ecosystem not just explore ideas, but launch real, scalable businesses.
We’ll share more soon, but let’s just say:
It’s time to stop talking about transformation and start building it.
So yes—we’re halfway to CASA25.
We’re growing, evolving, and getting sharper about what matters.
We’re not chasing headlines.
We’re chasing outcomes.
And we’re doing it with a crew of nearly 110 committed members.
If you’re already in, you’re going to love what’s next.
If you’re not (yet), now’s a good time to get curious.
Let’s fly smarter together.
My lifetime in IT and telecoms has been dedicated to innovation, building bridges and creating change. From the early days of cloud communications to working with operators on innovations and business development, and currently emphasizing APIs, CPaaS/CX and AI, my journey has been one of continuous evolution.
As founding partner at CPaaS Acceleration Alliance and The Next Cloud I'm privileged to help global telcos and techcos thrive in a fast changing world - through events, community building, strategy and global business development. I thrive on challenges and change, strategizing in cloud communications, and bringing people together for mutual success. Travel and continuous learning are my passions.
I believe the global communications industry is pivoting to prioritize customer experience and impactful solutions over mere technology and platforms, and we can tackle societal challenges by merging the strengths of corporates and innovators within new ecosystems.
